Served as trial counsel for Mr. Hooker, whose lawsuit against the Bureau of Prisons alleged negligence, and violations of the Federal Tort Claims Act arising from an incident in which Mr. Hooker was assaulted by another inmate while in BOP custody as a pretrial detainee. Hooker’s motion in limine to treat BOP employees called as witnesses in his case-in-chief as hostile was granted. Two-day bench trial in 2013.
