Served as lead counsel for Ms. Shepard, who was charged with one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute over 1,000 kilograms of marijuana in the Southern District of New York. Shepard was also charged with two counts of making false statements. The defense’s motion for severance of the false statement counts was granted, and those counts were dropped at the conclusion of the trial. One-week trial to verdict in 2011.
